doc. Ing. Kateřina Maršíková, Ph.D.

Kateřina Maršíková is a vice-rector Foreign Affairs and works as an associated professor at the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics, Technical University of Liberec (EF TUL), Czech Republic and as a Career Counsellor for students and employees in the Career Centre of TUL.

Her specialisation is in human resource management (both as an academic and practitioner). She is a lecturer of Human resource (HR) management, management, and other courses at the Faculty of Economics, both in Czech and English language at EF TUL. She gained her experience also by managing human resources as a project manager of several large HR projects (including the international Erasmus+ KA2 project related to HRM in small and medium sized enterprises or Ministry of Education projects). She has also been working on knowledge management in an international project (Norwegian funds) with NTNU University. Also, she has been publishing in human resources for over 20 years and cooperates intensively on human resources issues with corporations.

As the main project leader of ERNILAC, she is responsible for the implementation of activities on both the Czech and German sides. She manages and coordinates all teams and activities across the border, ensuring the expert execution of research and educational events. She is responsible for risk management, monitoring and evaluating the project’s progress, as well as its strategic and conceptual management. She holds personnel responsibility for the project team and ensures cooperation with all project members. She participates in project events, project team meetings, and collaborates with external experts.


Ing. Tereza Michalová, Ph.D.

Tereza Michalová is an assistant professor at the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics, Technical University of Liberec (EF TUL), Czech Republic and works in TUL’s Career Centre. Her specialisation is in human resource management, and research is related to knowledge management knowledge sharing and knowledge hiding both in the business and academic environment.

She teaches human resource (HR) management seminars in both the Czech and English languages. She also worked on the topic of knowledge management in an international project (Norwegian funds) with NTNU University and through virtual mobilities. She co-organizes Blended Intensive Programmes on various HR topics and enjoys working in international Teams through various projects. She gained practical experience in HR as an HR assistant in a multinational corporation.

As part of the Czech team in the ERNILAC project, she contributes to data analysis, as well as the planning and coordination of activities related to students and academic staff. She collaborates on the development and management of the career compass and publishes project outcomes on social media and websites. She participates in the expert group and other project activities and works closely with German colleagues.


doc. Mgr. Peter Madzík PhD.

Peter Madzik has long been engaged in quality management, educational quality, digital transformation, and data analytics applicable to solving a wide range of research tasks. He maintains an extensive network of active international partnerships with experts in related fields, and the results of their joint work are regularly published in prestigious international journals.

Within the ERNILAC project, he focuses primarily on analysing university study programmes in the Neisse Euroregion, their alignment with labour market demands, and identifying key competencies of graduates. He is also involved in labour market analysis and secondary data processing, designs and refines questionnaires, codes and evaluates responses, and conducts qualitative research with company representatives.


Dipl.-Kff. Kateřina Tandlerová (FH)

Kateřina Tandlerová is a project manager at the Faculty of Art and Architecture at the Technical University of Liberec, where since 2019, she has been involved in the coordination and administration of projects in the fields of education and research. She has extensive experience in managing cross-border Czech-German projects focused on education and collaboration between the academic sector and other stakeholders. In the past, she has also been involved in managing cross-border Czech-German projects in the nonprofit sector. Her work emphasizes close cooperation with university and international partners, project budget management, and ensuring the achievement of project goals and deadlines.

In the ERNILAC project, she is responsible for overall project management, communication with the grant provider, and financial administration. She oversees accounting, budget tracking, and interim reports in collaboration with the project leadership. She coordinates procurement, contracts, public relations, and risk analysis. She ensures compliance with financial and program requirements and participates in project events and team meetings.


Profesor Stefan Eckert

Stefan Eckert has been a Professor of International Management at the International Institute Zittau of the Dresden University of Technology since 2003. His research focuses on the study of success effects of the internationalization of multinational companies and related fields.

His role in the project team: As a research leader, he is responsible for the strategic and conceptual management of the project and ensures scientific accuracy. In addition, he holds personnel responsibility for the entire German project team.
His responsibilities mainly include overseeing particularly demanding, strategic, and conceptual research projects. This involves promoting efficient communication and collaboration between the teams on both sides of the border. He identifies and resolves problems that may arise during the research process and coordinates all activities to achieve the project goals. This also includes developing a public relations strategy to strengthen research communication and appropriately present sensitive findings. Furthermore, he ensures the dissemination of project results, including sharing white papers with universities and policy makers.


Max Drake, M.A.

Max Drake is a project staff member at the International Institute Zittau of the Dresden University of Technology. Since 2020, he has worked at the Chair of International Management, specializing in the success effects of internationalization and diversification of multinational companies. His main activities are in the ERNILAC project and the German Sustainability Code (DNK).

His role in the project team: His scientific work focuses on planning and coordinating two research projects on the needs of regions and companies. This includes, among other things, developing qualitative and quantitative questionnaires and reviewing existing study programs. The focus is on analysing and integrating the research results, which form the basis for position papers for university and regional policy decision-makers. His work also includes the operational execution of the study. Additional responsibilities involve continuous analysis of the overall project and evaluation of project progress concerning the scientific component, including coordination with the expert team and close collaboration with Czech partners.


Simon Eichentopf, M.A.

Since 2018, Dr. Eichentopf has been a Research Associate at the Chair of International Management at the International Institute Zittau of the Dresden University of Technology. His expertise is in market entry strategies for the Japanese market. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he is also involved in the ERNILAC project.

His role in the project team: As part of his academic work, he plans and organizes student events, as well as designs and implements workshops and excursions. A central focus is the evaluation and integration of research results to develop themes and content for workshops and excursions that provide insights into increasing graduates’ retention. His responsibilities also include the operational implementation of these formats, continuous analysis of the overall project, and assessment of progress in terms of the final development of the career compass. Another component is close coordination with the expert team and collaboration with Czech partners.


Oliver Tettenborn, M. A.

Oliver Tettenborn has been working at the International Institute Zittau (IHI) of the Dresden University of Technology since 2009. Since 2014, he has served as Academic Advisor to the Director. His main areas of responsibility are strategy development, the development of regional and international partner networks at the IHI, public relations, and student marketing. Additionally, he teaches in the interdisciplinary field of intercultural communication.

His role in the project team: Oliver Tettenborn’s academic work includes conducting and coordinating research projects on the needs of companies in the ERNRegion and analysing existing study programs. As a recognized specialist, he undertakes demanding tasks in scientific research and addresses complex, multidimensional questions at the interface between science and the public.
His core responsibilities include contributing scientific expertise as well as designing and implementing complex research activities. He independently develops strategies for the targeted communication of scientific results. Another key aspect of his work involves coordinating and aligning project activities, particularly regarding networking with companies for research collaborations. In addition, he regularly participates in internal project coordination meetings to ensure the sustainable achievement of the project’s objectives.

Nick Graupner, M.A.

Nick Graupner has been working at the Chair of International Management at the International Graduate School of the Dresden University of Technology since 2025 and is involved in both teaching and administration at the chair, as well as in the ERNILAC project. His research and teaching focus on maritime transport and logistics as well as business administration, which he intends to further develop.

His role in the project team: His work focuses on research concerning the needs of regional companies and analysing graduates’ willingness to stay. The focus is on collecting and evaluating research data, preparing the results, and developing the career compass and a white paper.

His scientific research activities include conducting interview-based case studies and designing structured expert interviews. He also develops questionnaires for quantitative surveys and performs advanced statistical analyses. Furthermore, he creates experiential workshop concepts as part of his research work.

Within his coordinating project activities, he provides scientific support to the expert group and regularly participates in half-day internal project coordination meetings to ensure the sustainable achievement of the project goals.
