Objectives and content:

The project focuses on advising students, especially future graduates, universities in the Euroregion Neisse (ERN) and regional representatives with regard to the requirements of the cross-border labour market. The aim is to provide systematic support that meets the needs of employers and stakeholders. The aim is to raise students’ awareness of the possibilities on the labour market in the ERN and to inform them about the formalities of cross-border employment, in particular with regard to the required skills.

Particular attention will be paid to the conditions under which graduates are willing to stay in the region. The survey conducted as part of the project records both the current demands for academic skills and the skills offered in the ERN.

Workshops, excursions and a career day are intended to encourage interest in finding a job in a cross-border context. In addition, a career compass will be created to facilitate orientation on the ERN labour market. It will contain job profiles, stories of successful transnational workers and information on incentive programmes such as “Görlitz auf Probe” and on administrative and legal aspects of cross-border employment. The results obtained within the project activities will be discussed with a group of experts and recommendations will be developed for universities and regional representatives.
