We are pleased to announce that our colleagues from Technical University of Liberec, namely Kateřina Maršíková, Hana Trávníčková, Tereza Michalová a Kateřina Tandlerová have started to work on a new project under the Interreg Europe initiative called ERNILAC: International labour market for future university graduates in Euroregion Nisa.

🌍🎓On Wednesday, 25 September 2024, the successful kick-off meeting of the ERNILAC project took place at the Ekonomická fakulta Technické univerzity v Liberci. As a lead partner, it was a pleasure to welcome our project partners from Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz, namely Stefan Eckert, Max Drake, Miriam Fink and Simon Eichentopf to continue and strengthen the collaboration between our institutions during our joint Interreg project.🤝🇨🇿🇩🇪

During the meeting, we effectively covered all key topics, and the team is excited to move forward with the upcoming actions and steps outlined in the project. The ERNILAC project focuses on addressing critical issues concerning graduate retention and labor market dynamics in the Euroregion Nisa (ERN).

🔑The ERNILAC project has in a nutshell following main aims and activities to achieve:
– Analyzing the attitude of university graduates towards employment in the Euroregion Nisa
– Identification of employers’ needs regarding graduates’ competences- Seminars for university students and graduates in Euroregion Nisa
– Linking Czech and German students and employers

The project lasts 2 years and officially started on 1 September 2024. Throughout the ERNILAC project, our team will conduct extensive qualitative and quantitative research with students, employers, and public institutions. The overarching goal is to increase students’ awareness of labor market opportunities within the ERN and to provide them with vital information regarding cross-border employment, including the specific skills and qualifications required. We are very pleased to be able to lead this project and cooperate with our German colleagues to address these significant challenges in higher education and the labor market.🎯
